Hollister R-V MOCAP Learning Information

MOCAP Enrollment Process

The Hollister R-V MOCAP enrollment window for the 2021-22 school year is July 15 through August 6, 2021.  Requests received after this date will be considered.  Please note that when requesting virtual learning, parents must work with the counselors and principals to ensure their students are taking courses aligned with the state’s academic goals, and for high school students, that they are meeting both state and local graduation requirements.

The district will pay the costs of  MOCAP courses only once the district has first completed a Best Interest Determination (BID) process and approved the student's enrollment in the course as described in our school board policy.  Even if a student or his or her parents/guardians pay the costs for a MOCAP course, the student or parents/guardians should meet with the principal or designee prior to enrollment to ensure that the course is consistent with the student's academic and personal goals.  The district is not required to provide students access to or pay for courses beyond the equivalent of full-time enrollment.  Students taking courses through MOCAP are subject to district policies, procedures, and rules applicable to students enrolled in traditional courses including, but not limited to, the district's discipline code and prohibitions on academic dishonesty, discrimination, harassment, bullying, and cyberbullying.
